Laxmichi Paule

Laxmichi Paule is a Marathi movie released onFebruary 1982. It was produced by Arun Pandit Chipade and directed by G.G. Bhosle. The movie is based on a family with a superstitious curse which causes a father to die if a son is born.

During the ninth month of her pregnancy, Nandini overhears a conversation between her motherinlaw and Sudam, Prakashs dear friend. She realises that the family is doomed with a curse. If she gives birth to a son, her husband will die. Nandini requests an abortion from the doctor, but he refuses. She requests poison and thus begins the play of life and death.The cast includes Ranjana, Ravindra Mahajani, Suhasini Deshpande, Nilu Phule, Sulochana, Balchandra Kulkarni, and others. ........
